Building quality boats that are affordable is a goal that Captain Parks Atkinson has pursued for over 15 years of boat building in Virginia Beach, VA USA.
Now he wants to transfer his ambitions, along with his skills, to Nicaragua, C.A., where he and his family find the business climate suitable for what they want to do.
In Nicaragua, which the Atkinson’s have visited along with other Central American countries, Captain Atkinson believes that he can build boats which are in high demand at a third less than the cost of similar boats on the market today.
Why Nicaragua?
A Young and Willing Work Force
With the help of enthusiastic workers, Captain Atkinson knows that he can build a higher quality boat and ship it at great savings.
After considering other options, Captain Atkinson has decided that Nicaragua has the most hospitable atmosphere in both the people and official policies toward foreigners doing business there.
Parks Atkinson is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain and avid fisherman. He has been working with fiberglass since he was a teenager building surfboards.
Captain Atkinson was in sales and marketing for car dealerships, one his own, before he turned his passion for boats into a money-making business.
At present, demand is so great, he is turning down jobs restoring and repairing inferior products, work which leaves him little time to work on his own custom boats.
Captain Atkinson is interested in making an international name for himself in the sport fishing world, naturally, but Nicaragua will also reap the benefits of his success by being home to a business producing and exporting high quality products.
